Tyke is very soft. He had a couple of magnet spots, but those aren't hard to fix. I walk/trot/cantered both directions. He was a bit lazy but didn't fight me me too much. I was able to canter him on a totally loose rein without feeling out of control! Tyke would be an awesome confidence builder for me!
At the end, he did start stopping and backing for no apparent reason, but I rode through it and had Bethany hop back on him for a few minutes as well. Talking to her afterwards, she has been working on stopping and so anytime you lean forward in the slightest he would anticipate a stop. I figured I was probably cuing him somehow. Easy to fix anyway.
I want to ride him again before I decide if I want to buy him or not, but I really like him! He is so cute!!! He also sniffed Will in the face and Will thought that was great!
